Traditional gift wrapping paper is very bad for the environment. Just think about it - first trees needs to harvested in order to make paper. The the paper making process is a very toxic using lots of chemicals. The paper is then printed with colors and sometimes with gold and silver foil, which makes the paper un-recyclable. The paper is then shipped across the world to be distributed by trucks .Once the paper has been hauled from the store it is finally used for wrapping a gift, which requires tape and string, two more things that are not good for the environment.

Are we done yet? No! The paper is then torn off the package in a matter of seconds and has instantly been transformed into garbage - which in turn will need to be distributed by a truck to a landfill. Remember, most wrapping paper can not be recycled.

So why contribute to this circle? Instead use something you already have to wrap your gifts!
