Be proud!

This week I am so proud of myself I can almost burst! To be PROUD over oneself is just as important as being THANKFUL for things. 20140110-200634.jpg

(Picture taken by Cappi on her first day in school!)

A few years ago someone told me that the mind can not tell the difference between inner and outer praise.
That means that if you tell yourself  “Wow I am so impressed by myself for doing that” your brain reacts, chemically, in the exact same way as if someone else would have told you that.
The same goes for criticizing. So be careful on what you tell yourself.
It’s easy to say “Arggg I’ve gained so much weight” or “I’m not as good as this or that person” or “I’m such a loser”. This is exactly as bad for the brain, chemically speaking, as if someone would have said it to you.
If one is aware of this, which most people are not, one can easily boost one’s self-esteem (That’s right – you don’t need anyone else but yourself – convenient huh?)
You should start to practice how to be nicer to yourself and start to point out all the small things you do well every day. Sometimes, it’s just easier to get caught up on what you did wrong. It’s like a “Gratitude Journal”, if you starts to point out how you are satisfied with yourself, you soon starts to realize that you do more good things than bad.

I actually think I should change up our dinner routine and replace sharing three things we are thankful for to three things we like about ourselves. Or we can swtich it up to every other day! It will be fun to hear what these three have to say about themselves!

So today I am summarizing how this week has went and I am super proud of myself! Even though I don’t feel like there is enough time to focus on myself, I have moved it up on my list. And you know what? I feel so much better than I did a few days ago! Since Monday I have… Gone to the gym twice Gone to yoga once

And another thing I am super PROUD and THANKFUL for is that so many people check out my blog. 43,606 followers! WOW!!! 20140110-195130.jpg Be nice to yourself this weekend (and always)!
