The Bag-all store on Mott Street is slowly coming together – little by little. For instance the other day I got this really cool stamp I had ordered for my recycled paper bags (I have of course ordered fabric bags for customers, but those haven’t arrived yet). I totally copied this idea from my sisters store Makeri 14 in Stockholm.
AND tada the Bag-all logo is on the window! In gold mind you!
And we got the hen net for the wall to display the bags. In this image you can also see Bag-all’s super cute mini letter bags that we haven’t launched yet. Soooo cute!
As I am a person with zero patients I decided to open the store although everything was not ready. I wanted to be open in time for Christmas sales and most importantly because it is so much FUN to meet the customers.
People coming in the store are so sweet and generous with their feedback! To some of them Bag-all is completely new and they just happened to walk by. Others know the brand from before and some others, mostly Swedes, know it really well. They have followed this blog and my instagram @bag_all and therefor they know me, what Bag-all stands for and all the products. This is so flattering when someone has taken their time to get to know your work. I feel so blessed to be able to meet some of these people!
The store is great for other things as well such as trying out new products to see how people like them. I have a bunch of prints in the store that are not currently on the web-site. These below are the new medical bags, these are available in the webshop. I just love the red ribbon!
Being in the store is a lovebombing of sorts as people are so positive towards Bag-all! I feel so energized when I have been there and met all these lovely people. What is extra fun being in this location, Nolita New York, is all the tourists from around the world coming in. For instance many Italians come in and totally love the idea of reusable gift bags. Many people from the Middle East love the Organizing/Travel Collection. I learn something from each and every person that comes in the store.
Now I want to share something totally different. This is me taking a selfie in the store…
…after I had learnt the selfie-rules from Celeste. Apparently you are supposed to take selfies from above. Who knew?
Not like the one I took the evening before. Completely wrooong according to my teenage daughter. Haha
I guess you learn new stuff every day!
