I have to be honest. To be back in Stockholm a couple of days feels a little strange. It’s a city where I have lived a lot of years and don’t have a home there anymore. Luckily, my mother has space for us in her apartment. It’s just a little strange to be kind of inbetween – on one side, I feel incredibly at home but on the other side I feel like I tourist with everything in a suitcase. We were lucky enough to have an incredible apartment when we lived in Stockholm. When we moved in there paying rent, and then we ended up buying it because we loved it so much.
Thought I would put up some pictures from our apartment. Jenny Brandt (who I have mentioned before-very talented photographer) took these for a Swedish magazine and some other ones around the world. The hall!
I have a collection of porcelain things where 99% of them I’ve bought on Swedish craigslist. In our old apartment, they were above the fireplace.
Our livingroom was amazing, and so were the windows. I love the light it brought in. Since it was a big room, it was very tricky to decorate it with the furniture. We tried all kinds of furniture. In the end, we ended up with this couch from Bo Concept.
I have always been a fan of old good things, like the ones on this shelf (that is now a kitchen counter top in my country house, which I mentioned before). The lamp I bought at the red cross in Flen, and the baskets with pearls I bought in Bali. The strange sharktooth sculpture I bought at a thrift store in New York in the 90’s, same with the Louis Vuitton Suitcase.
This chair I bought at a fleamarket in Stockholm for almost nothing….it was originally brown, then we painted it white.
Since we didn’t have that much money to decorate the big room, we had to be creative. We bought these horns at a fleamarket in Sörmland, Sweden. Very decorative right? Margaux, wearing a hamburger dress I bought in New York a while ago.
This statue I brought home from Greece, where I did a photoshoot for Mama.
I think this picture Jenny took of Margaux is fantastic!
Me, in a dress from Cos!
Micke and my Bedroom was next to the Hall and livingroom. I am so satisfied that I found this zebra carpet! The curtains I sewed by myself.
The rest of the apartment, the childrens room, kitchen and dining room I will show next week!
